Materials

•1 (10" x 18") iris panel*

•Assorted purple fat quarters*

•¾ yard black solid*

•Batting to size*

•Backing to size*

•Thread

•Quilt hanger*

•Basic sewing tools and supplies

Cutting

From assorted purple fat quarters:

•Cut 6 (2½") D squares.

•Cut 2 each 1½" x 10½" C and 1½" x 6½" B strips.

From black solid:

•Cut 6 (2½") G squares.

•Cut 2 (1½" by fabric width) strips.

Subcut into 2 each 1½" x 12½" F and 1½" x 8½" E strips, 6 (1½" x 2½") H rectangles and 3 (1½" x 3½") I rectangles.

•Cut 3 (3½" by fabric width) strips.

Subcut 2 each 3½" x 2½" L and 3½" x 14" J rectangles and 1 each 3½" x 13" N, 3½" x 9" M and 3½" x 5½" K rectangles.

•Cut 3 (2¼" by fabric width) binding strips.

Completing Quilt Center

1.Using a diagonal seam as shown in Figure 1, stitch B and F strips together. Trim seam allowance to ¼" and press.
